I found the shoes at Target, they sadly give her blisters so I have to fix them but they are really cute 🙂
As for the elastic, all elastic stretches differently the way I determine how much I need is I put the elastic in as tight as I can, but I make sure that when stretched the fabric can lay flat. That way I know it will hold snug but it can stretch to full size if needed. I hope that

SO cute!!! I LOVE the fabric! Is the design brown or gray? I want to make ties for my boys for an upcoming wedding and the colors are yellow and gray. This fabric would be perfect if it's gray (it's hard to tell on my computer screen!).

It's actually really hard to tell in person if it is grey or brown, it is almost a greyish brown.. I paired it with both brown and grey and they both looked like they matched so who knows really. I snagged the fabric for 80 cents in the remnant bin at walmart, and I am making my little guy a tie out of this as well, perfect for easter 🙂

I think this is the cutest shirt I have seen in a long time. You come up with the best ideas and I LOVE how you share them with us.
All the best for the blog.

Love the skirt… the pleats, the buttons… adorable!

Let me know when you find a solution to the Target shoes! I bought Livi the same ones and they tear up her poor little feet =(

Love the large pleats and the elastic in the back.
