Not to sound completely daft, but when you say "square over or square down" when figuring out the measurements- what does that mean?? Thanks!!!! 🙂

I just mean you are creating a right angle, so when you square over your don't want it to slope or angle you want the corner to be square like a right angle.

I was wondering what the math would be to make the skirt gather like yours? If I use her chest measurement like the tutorial says, won't it be straight? Sorry, I might be missing something….?

The width is the chest measurement (plus 1") and then that is cut on the fold so the skirt will be 2X the width of the chest piece and that will give you a nice gather. If you want the skirt piece to be even more full simply add length to the width line. Hope that helps!

Hi just found this pattern and I thought you should know that I think the dims for the blue line and orange lines on the drawing should say + or – 0.75″ not 7.5″. Nevertheless love this and will be making one soon!
