| The holiday season is upon us. Can you believe thanksgiving is only 2 weeks away?? I am in LOVE with this time of year. I cook the whole thanksgiving feast for the family that gets together and nothing pleases me more than cooking all that food and getting together with family. Oh I love Thanksgiving! I am however guilty of moving on to christmas… I have never made my christmas decorations before and they can take some time so I am getting started early this year and for everyone else who wants to get started early… Here you go. |

| I have always really loved these holly balls. (that sounds funny but I am sure that’s what they are called) I used to have one that would always accidently get left up well most the year (that’s embarrassing but true maybe it’s out of laziness) Anyway I am pretty sure it got left behind at one of our previous homes. Yeah it is that pathetic it was forgotten about seasonally and apparently through a move. (it was small not the one pictured above) So this year I thought I would make a new one but I wanted it to be different. |

| Then I saw this ornament at anthropologie and fell in love. Nothing says cozy and warm holiday season like yarn. So I came up with the Holly Ball (made from yarn) It could not be easier to make. Want to make on too? Here’s how… |

| First make little balls of yarn to do this I found it was easiest to make a large knot at the end of the string |

| Then wrap the yarn around the knot to form a ball shape |

| Keep wrapping until it is the size you want and then with a dab of glue (I used my glue gun) glue down the flap. |

| Then I used my glue gun and glued them to a large styrofoam ball |

| I kept glueing them until the ball was covered. |

| Then I glued some yarn around a tack and glued that into the middle of the ball so I could hang it. Really easy. This is just part of a little display I am making the rest will come later. You could really do this with any colors or in any size you want to fit with your holiday or home decor. Enjoy! |
