Yesterday I shared the “holly” ball. Today will be part two of the yarn balls. Ok that sounds kind of weird so we will just call them yarn ornaments. Today is a different technique to get a different look that is still cozy and warm for the holidays. |
Start with a foam ball |
Then take yarn and begin wrapping the ball overlapping the first string to hold it in place. |
Keep wrapping until the ball is fully covered |
Then add a dab of glue at the top to secure the sting, then loop the yarn and add another dab of glue. Then your ornament is done, but I added a little bird as well. |
I found these little bird clips at the craft store. I pulled the clip out. |
Then with a dab of glue I attached the bird to the ornament. |
Then with different sizes, colors and styles I hung some to bring in some cozy holiday cheer. |
And I added a few more around the house. The grey/tan one was made with the tutorial HERE |

They're great 🙂

You have some great ideas! I love the little asymmetrical jacket, and these little birds on the yarn are adorable! I too stalk Tatertots and Jello, so you are not alone!
