Replenish dry, thirsty skin with soothing moisture!A great and easy mask with rich avocado and clay to draw out impurities and leave your skin glowing.
Ingredients:
2 Tablespoons ripe avocado
2 teaspoons plain Greek yogurt
2 teaspoons calcium bentonite clay – I used Aztec Secret’s “Indian Healing Clay” from Whole Foods. *Many stores carry clay in either a container or in the bulk bins.
2 drops lemon juice ( keep from turning brown)
*Pictures shown is a larger recipe using a whole avocado*
STEP ONE: Cut open the ripe avocado, scoop out 2 Tablespoons. Mash avocado getting out as many lumps as you can.
STEP TWO: Add the Greek yogurt and blend. Greek yogurt is more beneficial for you skin than regular yogurt, but you may substitute it if you don’t have Greek available.
STEP THREE: Add Clay and blend until creamy. Need a deeper cleanse? Add 4 tsp of clay instead of 2. Just need the moisture? You can skip the clay all together.

STEP FOUR: Add 2 drops of lemon juice and mix.
USAGE: Apply an even layer to clean skin. Let sit for 15 minutes, you may feel your skin “pulsating” which is normal, that’s the clay drawing impurities from your pores.
Remove mask with warm, wet washcloth and rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.
Tone and moisturize.
Store in fridge, will keep for seven days
BENEFITS:
Avocado: Rich source of Vitamins A,B, D& E. Able to penetrate the skin evenly and quickly, making the skin smooth and moisturized as a result.
Greek yogurt: Softens the skin and soothes discolorations.
Calcium Bentonite Clay: Absorbs toxins and impurities from the body. Leaves skin fresh, smooth, radiant, and soft.

Very cool! I always wanted to make my own mask but never really knew how! I'm off to whole foods to look for clay 🙂
