The Pattern Shop got a fresh new look, and freshly stocked with some new patterns all in time for the biggest sale of the year! That’s right is Black Friday! So hurry over the shop because today ONLY all patterns (yep all of them) are only $5! That includes the new ones like the Lucille Top. I am super over the moon excited about this top. The pattern started way back here when I made this owl top. I had made a free pattern for the shirt but never shared it, then time went by and it got buried in the pile of all the other things that “might have been” I found it a little while back and decided to grade it up, to freshen it up a bit I took out just a little of the sleeve fullness still leaving some simple pleats.
Then again it sat… Well when I finally decided to finish it I wanted to do something completely different, such is the life as a designer. So I added a color blocking to the sleeve and bodice. It was heaven.
The angles and points which almost give a poncho wearing like effect over the top make me happy, and it makes the top a little more fun.
So I had fun mixing prints and colors, textures. The top lends to a lot of style options.
The slightly flared sides and longer torso fit make it an easy wear. It can easily be lengthened or shorted to any length (so if you want that owl dress go for it 🙂
I love the full shoulder and tapered sleeve. The little pleats which are barely noticeable are big impact for the style. The pattern is available in size 12m-8y, and in the shop now.
Also new to the shop is a dress that is quite possibly my favorite dress ever. Perfect for the upcoming holidays (if you are like me and haven’t sewn a dress yet) It can be worn with a shirt under or a sweater over. The Martha Bubble Dress is a pattern I made from the dress I made way back HERE. That dress was my favorite, and Abbey actually wore it for quite a while because of the wrap design it grew with her in the chest and it just became more of a tunic like when she wore it again HERE.
No buttons or zippers (and a cheater button hole) make the dress a pretty simple sew, it’s just a lot of gathering 🙂 I love the full bubble skirt.
The wrap design is easy to wear and the tie can be tied in the front or back, I always tie Penny’s in the back so she doesn’t untie it, but I will often wrap Abbey’s around and tie it in the front. The dress is in the shop now with the following sizes 6m-8y
Also in the shop the Jude Jacket and Desmond Jacket have been re-relased! Yay for bigger boys sizing!
The Desmond is now through size 10 and if you already purchased it there is a free upgrade since it has been a $9 pattern for awhile. The Jude Jacket is now through size 8 and there will be an upgrade code on this one. Starting today if you purchase the pattern you get the full sizes. (some orders went through before the new patterns were loaded so email me if you need the upgrade)
If you need the upgrade/code send me an email with proof of purchase (either the email receipt or your pay pal email address so I can look you up)
Remember TODAY ONLY all patterns are only $5! AND you can still use the stock up and save codes!
