City Girl Top || Pattern Anthology Collection

 The pattern is designed by the super talented See Kate Sew. I adore her and her style and I LOVE this top. The top has a cowl neck, rounded yoke with pleated detail. It’s flattering lines and so comfortable to wear. The pattern includes Top length, Tunic length, and Dress Length. I made the Tunic, and then decided it was just a touch longer than I wanted so I shortened it about 2″ so it may be more like top length. Either way I love being able to customize my clothes to be the exact fit that I want.

 We also have some great sponsors for this collection, Jacaranda Designs. I LOVE LOVE LOVE her stuff! She has been around Shwin&Shwin for awhile and I was really excited to work with her for this collection. Her jewelry is all just beautiful, it comes packaged perfectly (so great for gift giving) and she has fantastic variety in her shop. I chose this locket, because I have always wanted a locket and as soon as I saw the “S” in her listing photo I knew I HAD to have it. It’s so perfect! (and because my husband took these pictures this is literally the only one that is “close up” and in focus)

 We also got to work with Girl Charlee again since we designed knit wear. I used a striped french terry (which they don’t seem to have in stock any more) I love the soft feel and flow it makes the top really comfortable to wear.

 The only changes I made to the pattern was to make the sleeve shorter, it was mainly because I ran out of fabric, but I kind of love it shorter and literally I just cut the sleeve shorter, so easy. I am between a small and a medium in sizing, my hips need a medium, so I made a medium and then just took it in where I needed to, in order to get the fit I wanted.
