Start with a basic pattern for a tee. (need help drafting? Check this post)For the front piece cut it where you would like the yoke to be.
When you are cutting out the yoke part add a seam allowance to the bottom.
for the bottom half cut it several inches over from the edge to make it wider.
Then here are all the pieces. For help with neck facing check this post here. I also added pockets to this top (which got left out of the tutorial so info on adding the pockets see this post here)
Then we will start by sewing the Front A (yoke piece) to the Back at the shoulders. Then also sew the facing pieces together at the shoulders.
Then with right sides together sew the facing to the bodice pieces along the neckline.
Then turn the neck facing to the inside and top stitch in place. Then for the Front B piece gather the top of the piece and sew it right sides together to the Front A piece.
Top stitch you you like.
