Every now and then I see a fabric that I just know has to be used with a particular pattern. The Glass Onion Top which is one of my favorites to sew since there are no zippers or buttons it all comes together rather quickly. I love the shape and look of the finished top every time my girls wear them. For this one I made the cap sleeve, and the pleated back.
I added a bow to the back by adding a loop in the seam between the back and the facing. Then I slipped a lace rectangle into the loop to make the bow. It was quick, easy and can be changed out for a different color or style if I wanted. I love the extra little touch it adds to the back.
