The day has come. Project Run and play projects have posted.
I have been surprisingly nervous about today.
But I reached the point I had to be ok with my creation and let go…
The other projects posted and they are amazing…
I made what I called Snow White in Wonderland. The name came from the whimsical look to the outfit that was influenced by all things fairy tale. I also wanted to make a practical outfit for my little one. It started turning an old shirt into this owl dress. (I will share the tutorial later) I paired it with this pair of leggings (the sweater ones) |
Then as my mind kept telling me no winter look would be complete without a cape. I reinvented the cape for my modern interpretation. First I cropped it, since too much fabric drowns my little girl. |
I also added elastic in the front and back so it would have a snug fit. |
It is fully lined (and could be made reversible) and I added too large funky buttons to seal the deal. |
Abbey seemed to love it. The competition is stiff so we will see if I even make it to the next round but tutorial for the cape (and maybe a pattern) will be up sometime next week. |
Just one more of my favorite little guy, the hand embroidered owl. Go Vote! |
