I don’t know about you but in our house we have a great debate… it’s a toilet paper debate. What kind is best, how much to use, dry or wet, name brand or generic. Seriously we have a lot of conversations about toilet paper in our house, even more since we have kids. Recently I actually bought clearance toilet paper, (yes you read that right I got TP in the clearance isle) I figured TP doesn’t “go bad” or out of style so why not save a few bucks and buy stuff on clearance. You know what I heard from everyone who used it for the next month? “Worst toilet paper ever!” “Why would you buy this? I can’t get clean with this” Jude even called me into the restroom as he was about to flush a huge wad down the toilet, even the 5 year old was claiming it was the worst toilet paper ever! So naturally when I had the opportunity to work with Cottonelle and try out their Clean Care toilet paper and flushable wipes I decided it was the only responsible thing to do, you know for the sake of my family. I thought it would maybe once and for all settle the great debate.
First thing I noticed was the soft cotton like feel of the Clean Care toilet paper it has nice ridges, I just knew it would be super soft and absorbent, which is exactly what you want in a toilet paper (am I right ladies)
Then there are the flushable wipes I had never used a wipe before, we have always had weak septic systems and plumbing problems so flushing a wipe was never an option unless we wanted a hefty bill, I was so happy to see that the flushable wipes break down like toilet paper after they are flushed. The are also soft like cotton.
Using the flushable wipes was great not only for us adults, but helping the kids get nice and clean because honestly that seems to be the hardest part. I mean you would never use dry toilet paper to clean a babies diaper so it only makes sense that you would use a wet wipe to clean every time.
Cottonelle has also released some really funny hidden camera videos showing why you should use water to clean. My favorite was the salon video (since I was once a hairdresser I found it particularly clever)
You can test your cleaning logic at Cottonelle.com and you can make your own wash test video for a chance to win a $10,000 bathroom makeover… head over there you have from now through June 30th to enter!
What would you do with a $10,000 bathroom makeover? I know I would finally say goodbye to the 70’s bathroom cracked tile shower and painted countertop…
Do you have a great debate at your house?

My dad is a paper engineer (yep he makes TP, tissues, and Paper towels, among other things)… and I have still bought some of the WORST tp EVER because it is on sale – OMG, really not a place to skimp. The debate we DON'T have in our house is 'over or under'. It is OVER everyone, and that comes from the professionals ;o)
