One of my favorite things is a quick makeover. You know when you look at your closet, (or your kids closet) and you just want something new and fresh, but you don’t want to go shopping or spend hours making something? Well through out the year I will be sharing “This to That” transformations, super quick ways to update or freshen up something. Today it’s taking polka dot jeans (found at Target) The white dots are cute, but adding a little color makes them pop.
I grabbed my fabric markers. Which you can find at nearly any craft store in a huge array of colors, these are my pastel ones but I think I have every color of the rainbow. Choose one or several.
Then simply color in the dots. I colored them in a pattern so there were still some white.
Repeat on to the back. Let it dry (which is like a min.) Iron the color for it to set in best. Then done.
Now the once cute polka dotted pants are even cuter with a little pop of color.

Great idea!! Would be good for yardage, too. Especially when you've already sewn one garment out of the yardage and you don't want a second project to look too much like the first. I've linked to your tutorial over at Craft Gossip:http://sewing.craftgossip.com/tutorial-quick-update-for-white-polka-dot-fabric/2014/01/15/
