So we have seen almost every version of a tank now right? Right. So I am not reinventing anything here but Penny needed a few more tops so I made another tank for her and just to mix it up I decided to do the hi-low hem.
It’s a simple little change that takes an ordinary top and makes it a little something special. The only difference I do when I make a hi-low tank for babies is that instead of making the front shorter, I make the whole tank longer in the torso and then I do the high in front and low in back. The reason? Little babies have bellies and those bellies like to pop out, especially if say a shirt was cut short in front and curved up. So I make sure it’s nice and long to keep that sweet little baby belly covered.
The low hem also does a good job and making sure any chance of the baby booty always stays covered. You know since they have a way of peeking out as well.
